F Chain Rule - 5 steps marathon

Become a Pro in Chain Rule Guide

I created this step-by-step tutorial, or marathon if you wish 🏃, consisting of 5 steps you need to follow to become proficient in the Chain Rule and pass any chain rule test.

Afterward, you will know how to take the derivative of sin(3x) up to ChainRuleSinusLogarithm

(as one sub reddit says "just start")

LET'S START:

The Chain Rule is a rule of differentiation for composite functions.

It tells us that the derivative of a composite function is the product of the derivative of the outer function and the derivative of the inner function. So, you need to know what a composite function is in the first place! - that is, Step 1 and Step 2 (follow the links):

Step 1: What is a Composite function and how to differentiate it

- here you will learn how to differentiate the easiest form of the composite function - with one inner and one outer function - like sin(5x), ln(2x)... and how to identify them.

Step 2: Two Inner Functions Differentiation

- you will learn how to identify outer and inner functions, for example, for ln(sin(2x-4)), and how to differentiate them.

Step 3: Identify Inner and Outer Function Worksheet

- you will practice identification of the inner/outer function. It is the most important to correctly use the chain rule.

Step 4: Solve Chain Rule Worksheet - Easy&Medium difficulty level examples

- then you will solve 22 Chain Rule examples

Step 5: Solve Chain Rule Worksheet - More difficult examples

- the end - 22 hard examples
